Promoting Well Being Through Art Activities, Meditation and Yoga.
During the Spring Semester when we left school not to return, we were faced with challenges. I was proud of my students, who are juniors and seniors College. They were happily taking the Intro to Art Therapy Course. I adapted the course to distance learning and found that many of my homework assignments were of help as students adjusted to working on their art projects from home. At the time they responded to art assignments and included a photo of their art work in email form. Content included Body Scans (assessing their well being);Creative Art Activities that addressed self-esteem issues; and Scribble Drawings that allowed their creative nature to create art pieces and stories based on the scribble. I have also included meditations that they do after having a brief description. We use affirmative quotes displayed in Safe Place settings that they create as well. These have been assignments that have been well received. I do appreciate the opportunity to get feedback as well on these thoughts. Thanks of reading this feedback, Renee Conrad
